The “Nation’s Summer Capital” captured my heart from the very first time I visited for vacation in 1983, right after graduating college. I didn’t miss a summer for the next 16 years, creating many wonderful memories with dear friends at house, theme & pool parties; fabulous restaurants; sun drenched happy hours; and the many entertainment venues which have evolved over time.
As my visits became more frequent and the summer’s season got longer, buying a second home here almost 20 years ago just seemed like the natural thing to do. During this period of time I’ve owned and refurbished several in-town homes and always kept a pulse on the exciting and unique real estate market here at the Delaware shores.
I purchased my first home at a very young age, less than two years after getting out of college, and understand the positive impact home ownership can have on contributing to one’s financial goals and wellbeing. Having lived my entire life in the DELMARVA area and owned properties as diverse as farms in Southern Maryland and Southwest Virginia, a Washington DC townhome, a nationally recognized 215 year-old mansion in Western Maryland, and numerous investment properties, I’ve had hands-on experience as a buyer and seller more than twenty times so far in my own personal life. Through these various properties I’ve gained extensive background in renovations and investment properties, the unique requirements of historic preservation, a deep understanding of agricultural and equestrian properties and land subdivisions, as well as second homes.
I’m also a big believer in “giving back” to the community. I have served on the Board of Directors for several non-profit organizations. I’m also a member of the Board for one of Rehoboth’s Home Owners Associations, currently serving as its President. My husband and I donate resources and time to others in need across many different charitable organizations, most notably, the Immanuel Homeless Shelter, Sundance and are Indigo level members of CAMP Rehoboth for many years.
Partnering with my clients to support their various real estate goals here in Southern Delaware has become my full-time vocation now that my husband and I have become full-time residents of Rehoboth. For 18-years prior I was responsible for business development, sales operations and strategic planning for a nationwide sales team delivering over $850 Million annually in complex solutions and sales for the world’s number one IT company: Cisco Systems.
